The Defence Angels European Network (DAEN) is the first pan-European Business Angels network fully dedicated to strengthening investment in defence, dual-use, and critical technologies.
Supported by Bpifrance, Business Angels Europe, EBAN, and more than 20 national angel networks, DAEN unites private investors across Europe to finance strategic innovation and reinforce Europe’s technological sovereignty. Our mission is to mobilise private capital for the startups building the technologies that will define Europe’s security, resilience, and competitiveness.
DAEN brings together Business Angels from more than 16 European countries, enabling coordinated, cross-border investments in early-stage strategic technologies.
Aerospace & SpaceTech, Cybersecurity, Quantum & Advanced Computing, Robotics & Autonomous Systems, Advanced Materials, and Defence & Security applications.
DAEN supports a bottom-up, citizen-led approach to defence innovation by connecting investors, founders, industry, and public institutions.
Threat intelligence, critical infrastructure protection, secure communications, encryption, and cyber-resilience tools.
Satellite systems, launch technologies, in-orbit services, space situational awareness, navigation, and surveillance.
Quantum-secure technologies, high-performance computing, advanced processing architectures, and next-generation systems.
Unmanned aerial, maritime, and ground systems, enabling technologies for autonomy, sensing, and control.
Novel alloys, composite materials, energy storage, additive manufacturing, and components critical to defence applications.
